In Midtown, nestled on Canfield Street sits a uniquely Detroit shop. Once you step in the door, you are greeted with a smile and the sense that, “This is something unique.” Handcrafted watches, leather goods, bicycles and notebooks are displayed beautifully. As you wander through the store, you come to learn that many of the materials are sourced in the city or state. Each element has been thoughtfully selected with the customer in mind.
This is Shinola on Canfield and it’s Lucy Bemiss’ favorite place in the city.
